Our local operator Freedom Biker Tours’ crew members will be available to assist. We’ll take care of rental motorcycles after you are settled, or the following morning. This evening, we’ll have a meet-and-greet gathering at 5:00 pm including a welcome dinner, orientation and briefing at The Lower Deck.

Learn the history of the city’s war years, and the exploits and heroism of the citizens who lived through the devastating Halifax explosion on December 06, 1917. Learn about the city’s connection to the Titanic disaster. Experience the beautiful waterfront, and pay a visit to The Citadel, which is the fourth British military fortification built on Citadel Hill in the centre of Halifax. It has now been restored and is a Canadian National Historic Site. The original fortification was built in 1749. Tonight, we will enjoy a Maritime experience, the ‘Tall Ship Silva’ dinner cruise of Halifax Harbour.

Day 03 Peggy’s Cove, the South Shore and Lunenburg (Ride Day: 282 km / 175 miles)

Kickstands up at 08:30 am. Full tank and empty bladder. As we ride south from Halifax, we’ll cruise along Nova Scotia’s famous ‘Lighthouse Route’ a beautiful scenic ride that will take us through picturesque coastal villages and inlets to the rugged fishing community of Peggy’s Cove.

With its breathtaking location on a narrow coastal inlet characterized by wave-worn granite rocks and crashing surf, it’s easy to see why this charming little community is perhaps Canada’s most photographed site. With a year-round population of 30, Peggy’s Cove is a sleepy little town famous for several things including beautiful ocean waters, a small narrow inlet, a scenic lighthouse, and the unfortunate crash 8 km offshore of Swissair Flight 111 on Sep 02, 1998, after departing from New York’s JFK Airport.

Departing Peggy’s Cove, we’ll ride along Nova Scotia’s beautiful South Shore through the picturesque seaside village of Mahone Bay to arrive in the scenic town of Lunenburg, founded in 1753. With its brightly coloured buildings lining the shore, Lunenburg is considered one of Canada’s most colourful postcard-perfect towns and is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We’ll have lunch overlooking the sailboat-filled harbour before riding some twists and turns along the route back to Halifax, passing through small villages that add character to the Lighthouse Route. Dinner is on your own tonight. Enjoy the many fun dining opportunities along the Halifax Harbourfront.

Accommodation: Hotel Halifax

Included Meals: Breakfast and Lunch

Day 04 Nova Scotia Shoreline and New Brunswick (1 ferry crossing) (Ride Day: 398 km / 246 miles)

Kickstands up at 08:30 am. Full tank and empty bladder. Departing Halifax inland, our ride today travels out past the local riders’ favourite ‘Fall River Tim Hortons’, and our route follows the historic Shubenacadie Canal for a time before we turn and ride through rich farmlands and pastures. After a stop in Windsor, the Blomidon Look-Off, one of the more scenic mainland viewpoints will be our destination for a photo-op. We’ll then continue riding a short distance to Halls Harbour, visiting this small fishing village on the Bay of Fundy. Be sure to note where the waterline is when you arrive, as the world record tides will make a dramatic change. The tide will be going out and will drop nearly 3 meters while we have lunch. Moving back up to the Northern side of the Annapolis Valley, our ride continues to Historic Annapolis Royal, on the Digby Gut, one of the first North American settlement areas over 400 years ago. After a short visit to this quaint area, we will move through Digby to catch the MV Fundy Rose on which we will enjoy crossing the Bay of Fundy to Saint John New Brunswick, where our hotel for the night is a short ride from the ferry terminal. Dinner is on your own onboard the ferry.

Accommodation: Château Saint John Hotel and Suites

Included Meals: Breakfast and Lunch

Day 05 Bay of Fundy, Hopewell Rocks and Moncton (Ride Day: 218 km / 135 Miles)

Kickstands up at 08:30 am. Full tank and empty bladder. Our ride along the north side of the Bay of Fundy will be a challenge between wanting to carve the corners or revel in the scenery. After a short ride from the hotel, we’ll check out a seaside village for a stop n’ stretch and some coffee and tea while exploring a covered bridge. Departing from there, we enter the Fundy Trail Parkway. There will be a couple of scenic viewpoint and photo-op stops along the way, and a snack and refreshment stop at some point as we traverse this amazingly scenic stretch of road. Stopping to experience the magnificent Hopewell Rocks. A short hike will allow us to walk on the sea floor at low tide among the towering rock cliffs. From there it’s a short ride through Moncton to our hotel. Dinner tonight is at the Pump House Brewpub and Restaurant.

Accommodation: Rodd Hotel

Included Meals: Breakfast and Dinner

Day 06 Shediac Lobster Cruise and Confederation Bridge (Ride day: 167 km / 104 miles)

Kickstands up at 08:30 am. Full tank and empty bladder. This morning we will ride to Shediac New Brunswick, the “Lobster Capital of the World”. After a group photo with the world’s largest lobster, we move to the waterfront where we’ll climb aboard a waiting vessel for an interactive lobster-themed cruise on the warm waters of Shediac Bay. Learn about the lobster fishing industry while enjoying a freshly cooked lobster feast, deliciously famous in Acadian culture. Later, we’ll ride across the 14½ km long Confederation Bridge onto Prince Edward Island. If you’ve never experienced this bridge before, it is a sight to behold; especially on a motorcycle which will include stopping for a group photo with our bikes and the bridge, then souvenir shopping before heading to Canada’s birthplace of Confederation, Charlottetown. Be sure to shop for their hand-made fresh preserves and jellies. We’ll finish off the day with a leisurely ride through the countryside back to Charlottetown arriving early enough to allow for us to enjoy the Downtown of this quaint little city. Dinner is on your own tonight.

Accommodation: Rodd Royalty

Included Meals: Breakfast and Lunch

Day 08 Cape Breton Island (1 ferry crossing) (Ride day: 350 km / 217 miles)

Kickstands up at 08:00 am. Full tank and empty bladder. Leaving early, we have a ferry to catch and lots of ground to cover. Today we will ride over to Wood Islands to catch the Northumberland Ferry which will take us on a 75-minute trip across the Northumberland Strait back to Nova Scotia. After disembarking the ferry, our ride will take us along the coast to the Cape George lighthouse. Then we’ll ride through the ‘Highland Heart’ of Nova Scotia to the Strait of Canso which separates the mainland of Nova Scotia from Cape Breton Island. Cape Breton Island was originally settled by Loyalists from New York State following the American Revolution. These settlers were followed by Scottish immigrants, who chose this region because it reminded them of their homeland. Near the Canso Causeway, we’ll have a stop n’ stretch for a photo-op of the Canso Strait and Porcupine Mountain. Then, making a path for Baddeck, we’ll also visit one of Canada’s most popular attractions, the Alexander Graham Bell National Historic Site, overlooking beautiful Bras d’Or Lake. J.A.D. After a short pit stop at the beautiful Celtic Lodge, we cut across the high points of the Cape Breton Highlands, and the many twists and turns needed to get there. After the switchbacks of Mackenzie Mountain, we stop at its scenic viewpoint. From there we will dismount for a picnic lunch and a stroll along the majestic Skyline trail. We’ll enjoy the epic views that this walk shows us. We’ll then continue to Cheticamp and the famous Floras Gift Shop. We’ll make a point of stopping at Margaree Harbour to get a photo in front of the Cabot Trail sign. How else would your friends believe you were there? We’ll then cruise along the western side of the island returning to Baddeck for the night. Dinner is on your own tonight.

Accommodation: Cabot Trail Motel

To avoid as much of the big city traffic as possible, we’ll turn up the Musquodoboit Valley and approach from scenic secondary highways. Then a short run on the highway to Halifax Airport and our hotel for the final night. We’ll park our rental bikes at the hotel where they will be picked up by our rental partner. Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival – Denver, Colorado

When all tour participants arrive, we will gather for a welcome meeting and refreshments, introducing everyone to fellow participants and tour leaders. The evening’s program will focus on getting to know each other, and for those still energised after the long journey, there’s an option to visit a local bar nearby.

Day 02: Denver – Gunnison  (Riding day 1: 330 km/205 miles)

The day will commence with an information meeting covering details about the Buffalo Bill Mountain Tour and your stay in Denver. Practical information about motorcycle and car rental checkout will be provided. Once checked out of the hotel, we’ll collect our vehicles (bikes/cars). The bike/car booked for the tour will be prepared with all necessary insurance included. We will embark on our 4,200 km Sturgis & Buffalo Bill Mountain tour when everyone is ready. Denver will gradually disappear behind us as we start a unique adventure full of history, adventure, and fun. The initial part of the day will include some city Riding & interstate travel before we depart on our designated back roads in spectacular surroundings. We will start easy to allow everyone to get accustomed to traffic and riding conditions. The adventure on adventurous motorcycle roads begins with a stop in Fairplay to visit the “ghost town” South Park City, which is currently operating as a museum of the old Wild West. After our Wild West influence, we will Ride to the motel in Gunnison, where we’ll relax and share experiences from the first leg of the fairytale.

Day 03: Gunnison – Durango  (Riding day 2: 372 km/231 miles)

Today, we will start our ride on the US’ best back roads. Leaving Gunnison, we will Ride on the beautiful Silverthread Scenic Byway, navigating curvy roads through spectacular scenery. Keep your cameras ready! We will Ride to Lake City, stopping to enjoy the relaxed atmosphere. Afterwards, we’ll head to South Fork for lunch before continuing to the breathtaking Wolf Creek Pass. Our destination of the day is Durango, an old mining town where treasure hunters come in herds to find & extract gold and silver worth hundreds of millions of dollars from the mineral-rich mountains of the area. The noble metals made Durango a prosperous city that has not been affected by the recession. Today’s usual stress and rush do not influence residents of Durango; they are hospitable and friendly. Get ready for a cozy evening in the city’s historic district.

Day 04: Durango – Moab  (Riding day 3: 355 km/220 miles)

Welcome to one of the tour’s highlights. Today promises amazing Riding experiences on fantastic back roads, sharp curves, spectacular mountain scenery, waterfalls, and old Pioneer cities. As we Ride out of Durango, we will stop by roadside hot springs. We continue north on spectacular mountain roads to Silverton and the world’s “highest” Harley Davidson dealer (elevation). After that, we’ll start riding on the world-famous “Million Dollar Highway” (also San Juan Skyway), ranked No. 4 among America’s best motorcycle roads. It is an extraordinary Riding experience, a lifetime memory! The road got its famous name, “San Juan Skyway”, because the mountain passes we ride through lies 3,353m (11,000 ft) above sea level, with amazing views. We will make several stops along the way to enjoy this unique experience. You might want to Ride back for another ride when we arrive at the road’s end. At San Juan Skyway’s end stop, Ouray, we will eat lunch and try to digest all the impressions. We continue our fairytale day on terrific backroads through the mountains toward Moab, which is located at the entrance of the Arches National Park. We will spend the evening in these spectacular surroundings.

Day 05: Moab – Park City  (Riding day 4: 370 km/230 miles)

Having absorbed the wonders of Arches National Park, this day will be an in-between Riding leg leading to the fantastic Wild West run & Yellowstone National Park. We will head north towards Salt Lake City, reaching our day’s end-stop in Park City.

Day 06: Park City – Jackson  (Riding day 5: 470 km/292 miles)

Today, we will journey towards the magical Yellowstone National Park and the “Wild West Run.” Riding north by the beautiful Bear Lake, we will continue to Montpelier, where we’ll visit the historic site of Butch Cassidy’s bank robbery. After that, we’ll proceed to Jackson, a vacation spot for wealthy Californians in the valley of Jackson Hole. The evening will be spent at the famous Million Dollar Cowboy Bar.

Day 07: Jackson – Cody  (Riding day 6: 330 km/205 miles)

Welcome to another tour highlight! It will be a long day packed with unique and rare experiences. We will Ride into the wonderful Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Park, covering one of the US’s most popular motorcycle routes, Wild West Run (Jackson – Yellowstone Lake). Passing through Moran and Jackson Lake, we’ll proceed to the spectacular Old Faithful Geyser, remaining one of the most active (cone) geysers with predictable eruptions approximately every 35 to 120 minutes. Old Faithful received its name in 1870 during the Washburn-Langford-Doane Expedition and was the first geyser in the park to be named. We will continue our ride in spectacular Yellowstone, Riding on Grand Loop Rd, before stopping at breathtaking Artist Point. After that, we’ll visit live buffalo herds up close. Be ready for exciting encounters, but beware of the wildlife (bears, wolves, elk, buffalos). The day will conclude by riding into Buffalo Bill’s (William F. Cody) home turf, Cody, where we’ll stay at Buffalo Bill’s motel and eat dinner at the historic Irma Hotel.

Day 08: Chief Joseph Scenic Byway & Beartooth Hwy  (Riding day 7: 264 km/164 miles)

Today’s ride will be the definite tour highlight for many. Welcome to the world-famous “Beartooth Highway” (ranked as the US’ best, No. 1 motorcycle route). Beartooth Highway has not achieved its iconic status among bikers worldwide without reason; be prepared for unique winding mountain roads up and down the mountain, with hairpin turns and spectacular views. This will also be the tour’s most demanding Riding leg, so we will Ride at a comfortable & safe pace to ensure everyone remains safe and gets plenty of time to enjoy the ride and view. Have your camera ready, and you will Ride on one of the world’s best motorcycle roads. Enjoy! On our way to Beartooth Pass, we Ride Chief Joseph Scenic Byway, a lifetime experience! After our return to Cody, you can visit the spectacular Buffalo Bill’s Center of the West.

Day 10: Gillette – Sturgis  (Riding day 9: 242 km/151 miles)

Today marks the beginning of our fun adventures in the Black Hills, the location of the Sturgis Bike Rally (the mother of all bike rallies). Get ready for a lifetime experience! We’ll start by Riding to the famous Devil’s Tower, a top-rated destination and the location of the sci-fi movie “Encounters of the 3rd Degree.” Enjoying the surroundings and these spectacular rock formations, our next stop is Sundance, home of the Sundance Kid. After that, we’ll Ride through the beautiful Spearfish Canyon, a natural setting resembling a painting that only nature can create. Riding through Deadwood, we’ll visit the “No 10 Saloon,” where Wild Bill Hickok was shot while playing poker (The quick combination he had when he was shot is now called “Deadman’s Hand”). Deadwood, within an Indian reservation, has all gambling rights. It was also here that Calamity Jane (the famous female sharpshooter) met Wild Bill for the first time; though not a couple, they buried next to each other.

Day 11: Sturgis Bike Rally & Black Hills Run (optional)  (Riding day 10: 275 km/171 miles)

Tomorrow, we will ride the famous and popular Black Hills Run, experience all the fantastic attractions around Sturgis, and get a feel for the world-famous Sturgis Bike Rally. We will enjoy Riding the Black Hills Run until we reach Crazy Horse, the world’s largest monument carved in the rock. We are continuing to Custer and Custer State Park, which captivated General George A. Custer because of its beautiful scenery and surroundings. We will Ride the Wildlife Loop, where we might encounter live buffalos. Lunch will be outside Custer State Park before heading to Mt Rushmore (the three presidents’ heads carved in the mountains). Afterwards, we will Ride the famous Iron Mountain Road. Be ready for a unique experience. After absorbing the Black Hills, we will Ride to Sturgis, a small town and the centre of all activities around the Sturgis Bike Rally, America’s oldest and legendary Motorcycle Rally. We will park the bikes and visit the world-famous Knuckle Saloon. It will be time for a Biker party!

Day 12: Sturgis Motorcycle Rally  (Explorer and Fun Day)

Enjoy the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally! Use the day as you wish for the “Mother of all motorcycle rallies.” Sturgis is a small “ghost town” with only 6400 inhabitants. In early August each year, the city transforms into the centre of 500,000 biker enthusiasts from over 40 countries. The Sturgis Motorcycle Rally is America’s oldest biker rally (established in 1938) and has become legendary among bikers worldwide. The whole week is full of action and fun. Our hotel is in the city centre.

Day 13: Sturgis – Scottsbluff  (Riding day 11: 472 km/295 miles)

We will say goodbye to Sturgis and head south again. Our first stop will be the spectacular Badlands National Park. The rugged beauty of Badlands draws visitors from around the world. These striking geological deposits contain some of the richest collections of fossils. Old mammal rhinoceros, horses, and sabre-toothed tigers once walked here. The park’s 244,000 acres consist of an expanse of mixed grass and prairie where bison, bighorn, prairie dogs, and Blackfoot ferrets live today. On our spectacular Ride through Badlands, we will stop at “Wounded Knee,” the location of the “Massacre at Wounded Knee,” where over 150 Indians were killed and 50 wounded by the US 7th Cavalry Regiment. After that, we will Ride to the small-town Alliance, where we will spend our last night “on the road.”

The Grand Ladakh – 12 Days

3 High Passes, 3 Lakes & Ancient Culture

Ladakh is a beautiful region and located at a height of 10,000 feet. It is a largely Buddhist-dominated area, and it is also called Little Tibet. Ladakh is popularly known as the Land of High Passes and attracts people for its rich Buddhist culture and lovely landscape. It was the crossroads of the ancient trade routes from South Asia, and until the end of the 19th century, mule trains carrying shawls and spices made the journey from Amritsar through Ladakh to Yarkand in China. Ladakh’s people are a mix of Tibetan and Indo-Aryan – it became part of independent India in 1948. Ladakh is a land of extremes; you can see snow-capped mountains and clear blue skies at the same time as arid dunes; azure blue lakes flow alongside some of the highest mountain peaks and road mix of rough and smooth, which makes it undoubtedly the most popular destination for motorcycle tours in India. The thought of a motorcycle ride to Ladakh is not for the faint-hearted, but with a bit of resilient nature and determination, one can easily conquer the ride through the mighty Himalayas, where the terrain is quite uneven; one must be prepared to face umpteen obstacles and challenges. This Adventurous Mighty High Himalayan Motorcycle tour is also known as a high-altitude motorcycle expedition Tour, as you will be staying overnight at a height of 3000 metres to 4600 metres. Of course, you will ride Royal Enfield 500cc Motorcycle to conquer the Highest Motorable road, Khardung-la Pass (17,582 FT), Changla Pass (17,560 FT), Tanglangla Pass (17,480 FT) and all three most popular and beautiful lakes like Pangong Lake, Tsomoriri Lake, and Tsokar Lake with experience of Double Hump Camel Ride in Sand Dunes of Nubra Valley. Riding on the Highest Motorable Road and other high passes in the Himalayas is a lifetime moment for every motorcyclist. We invite all thrill-seeker motorcycle enthusiasts to join our High Himalayan Motorcycle Adventure Tour on Legendary Royal Enfield 500cc Motorbike to test your skills.
