Throughout the week, the city bursts with energy, offering a wide range of thrilling activities and events for everyone to enjoy. From exhilarating rides to lively concerts and vibrant street parties, there’s something for everyone to experience and savour during this unforgettable gathering.

Day 13: Sturgis – Scottsbluff  (472 km/295 miles)

As we say goodbye to the vibrant energy of Sturgis, our journey southward leads us to the breathtaking beauty of Badlands National Park. As we take a scenic drive through the park, we pause to reflect at the solemn site of “Wounded Knee,” where the tragic “Massacre at Wounded Knee” took place—a dark chapter in American history. Here, over 150 Native Americans lost their lives, and 50 were wounded by the U.S. 7th Cavalry Regiment. Continuing our journey, we make our way to the charming town of Alliance.

Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival – Los Angeles, California

Welcome to Los Angeles!

After arriving at the Los Angeles airport and picking up your luggage (Baggage claim), please exit the arrival hall to the traffic island (outside) with the “red” sign with the writing “Hotel and Courtesy Shuttle”. The hotel offers a free shuttle bus service every 30 minutes. At the hotel reception, you will be met by one of our friendly tour guides.

When all tour participants have arrived, we will meet for a welcome greeting and refreshment, with introductions. The evening’s program will be getting to know each other and eating dinner together in true American style. Those not tired after the long journey may visit a local bar nearby.

Day 02: Los Angeles to San Diego (Riding day 1: 212 km/132 miles)

We will begin our Wild West tour! When everyone is ready on the bikes, we will embark on our 4,400 km long journey. LA will disappear behind us as we head south for a unique adventure full of history, excitement, and fun! This first Riding day will bring some city, some highway, and a wonderful Ride along the legendary Pacific Coast Highway 1 towards fun San Diego. We will slowly start tuning everyone into the California riding conditions and temperatures. In approximately 30 min, our first stop will be Long Beach, where we will make an extra security check of the bikes, equipment, and Riders before our tour begins for real.

Get ready for a tasty lunch at Ruby’s Diner in Laguna Beach. Milkshakes the old-fashioned way = highly recommended! After that, we will head straight to San Diego, where we will Ride to Historic Old Town, check into the hotel, and spend the rest of the day on everything this fun city offers: the USS Midway, Maritime Museum, Little Italy, Old Town.

Day 03: San Diego to Blythe (Riding day 2: 362 km/225 miles)

We will leave beautiful and fun San Diego to spend the day Riding on fantastic motorcycle roads: Historic Route 94 and 98, plus Old Hwy 80. The roads will be curvy and pass through spectacular scenery. Enjoy + have your camera ready!

Most of the day, we will Ride along the Mexico border, which is well-guarded by the U.S. Border Patrol. We will eat a Mexican lunch at a popular local diner in Calexico.

After our stop in Calexico, we will continue northeast through the Imperial Sand Dunes, an extraordinary experience. It’s like Riding through a sandy desert with dunes on each side of the road. We guarantee a very rare experience. We will stop in the middle of the “desert” before continuing to Blythe. In the evening, we will go to a local steakhouse and eat an authentic American steak.

Day 04: Blythe to Sedona (Riding day 3: 386 km/240 miles)

We will start the day with a transport leg through the dry prairie landscape before riding the spectacular motorcycle roads to Prescott. Hwy 89 is one of Arizona’s best motorcycle roads, and some parts are somewhat challenging but very enjoyable! We cannot highly praise this riding experience.

After a nice lunch in Prescott, we will continue Riding on fun & curvy motorcycle roads to Jerome ghost town. After that, we will Ride to the breathtaking natural preserve Oak Creek Canyon, where you will be surrounded by spectacular scenery and rock formations. This natural paradise might look familiar since many famous cowboy movies have been recorded here. Oak Creek Canyon is Arizona’s second most popular tourist attraction after the Grand Canyon. Our last stop will be Sedona, in the heart of Oak Creek Canyon, a unique Indian city with dramatic natural surroundings from another world. Sedona is known for its spiritual energy and a thriving cultural community.

Day 05: Sedona to Tuba City (Riding day 4: 306 km/190 miles)

This will be the tour highlight for many. Welcome to the Grand Canyon! We will start the day by Riding fun & curvy motorcycle roads on our way out of Oak Creek Canyon, passing Flagstaff, touching by Historic Route 66, before continuing through beautiful scenery. The helicopter base is just before the “entrance” to the Grand Canyon. Those who pre-ordered the helicopter tour will get an experience they will never forget. Hovering in the air over one of the world’s seven wonders and experiencing this natural wonder up close is almost magical. It is highly recommended! NB: Helicopter rides must be booked separately in advance.

After the helicopter tour, we will ride a short leg to the visitor centre to see the world’s most-watched Imax movie. When you see the film, it feels almost like standing inside the Grand Canyon. We will also eat lunch here. After that, we will Ride into the Grand Canyon and spend the rest of the day here. Be ready for this year’s vacation photoshoot. Afterwards, we will set course towards another famous natural phenomenon, Monument Valley, but make an overnight stop in Tuba City.

Day 06: Tuba City to Hanksville (Riding day 5: 399 km/248 miles)

We will start the day by Riding to Monument Valley, one of the world’s most photographed natural phenomena. Monument Valley cannot be described in words; it must be experienced. Up close, we will share the classic Wild West landscape of sandstone rock formations. Everything has a reddish shade and is beautiful to look at. Only when you are in Monument Valley will you understand how much this area has influenced your perspective on the Wild West. These natural surroundings are also in other places, but not as perfect as exhibited here. When we ride amongst these majestic rock formations, we are in the middle of the Navajo Indians’ area, so you must get the spiritual mood up.

We will continue to Mexican Hat, another natural phenomenon. Is it a sombrero or stone formation? Then, we will head north to Lake Powell and Utah’s national parks. This will be a Riding distance you will never forget. We will be surrounded by amazing rock formations and have a three-dimensional height perspective. We will ride through spectacular scenery on fun motorcycle roads all day. Today’s Riding will be one of the tour’s absolute highlights! We will Ride through Goosenecks State Park, Natural Bridges National Monument, Glen Canyon, Lake Powell, Goblin Valley, and Horseshoe Canyon.

Day 07: Hanksville to Hurricane (Riding day 6: 428 km/266 miles)

We will continue our amazing and spectacular Ride through Utah. The national parks will come one after another like beads on a string: Goblin Canyon, Capitol Reef, and Otter Creek State Park. Best of all will be our ride up and down the elevations of the Escalante staircase. We believe you will not be able to stop smiling! One of the tour highlights will be the magic of Bryce Canyon. Bryce Canyon’s rock formations will be difficult to describe, an experience on par with the Grand Canyon.

We will continue through Dixie National Forest to another great National Park, Zion. Besides seeing some of the world’s finest rock formations, the roads will be particularly curvy here – “the switchbacks of Zion”! Compared to Yosemite and Grand Canyon, Zion will radiate a more aesthetic appreciation of nature.

Day 08: Hurricane to Las Vegas (Riding day 7: 274 km/172 miles)

Get ready for another fantastic day! We will start by Riding through spectacular Zion. Besides seeing some of the world’s finest rock formations, the roads will be particularly curvy here – “the switchbacks of Zion”! Compared to Yosemite and Grand Canyon, Zion will radiate a more aesthetic appreciation of nature.

When we come out of Zion, it’s straight ahead to the neon-lit gambling oasis of Las Vegas. We will arrive at lunchtime, park the bikes, and spend the rest of the day exploring this exciting city. This evening, you can explore the famous “Sin City” alone. Enjoy! You will be in one of the most fun cities in the world.

Las Vegas will have amazing architecture, unique shows, casinos, and all kinds of entertainment. Vegas will never be boring! Most attractions will be within walking distance. We highly recommend a trip to Caesar’s Palace, Bellagio, MGM, Stardust, Treasure Island, The Venetian, Mirage, Wyatt, and The Fashion Show Mall (over 200 stores). At the Mirage, you can enjoy the evening volcanic eruptions every 30 minutes, turning the garden into a flame show. Inside the casino are rare white tigers. The water show outside the Bellagio is also a memory for life.

Day 09: Las Vegas to Lone Pine (Riding day 8: 401 km/249 miles)

We will head west out of Las Vegas, where the road will take us to Death Valley – the hottest place on the planet outside the Equator! There will be almost no shade anywhere, and the heat will be extreme – yet nature will be fantastic & exciting. We will eat an early lunch in the middle of Death Valley. Afterwards, we will Ride through a series of turns and mountains and find ourselves located more than 30 meters below sea level. We will continue west and ride Sequoia National Park to Lone Pine, where we will stay overnight.

Day 10: Lone Pine to Jamestown (Riding day 9: 386 km/240 miles)

We will start the day by Riding to Bishop, where we will enjoy a coffee and some delicious pastries at the local bakery. After that, we will Ride to Mammoth Lakes, known for mountain biking in summer and skiing in winter. We will continue north to Tioga Pass before we cross Yosemite National Park. We will ride through enormous granite mountains and curvy motorcycle roads. This will require some concentration until we approach the mother of the mother of all national parks. Yosemite will draw thousands of images and rise to dizzying heights. You will experience the beautiful, wild, tame, and abundant nature that spreads around you. We will enjoy an outdoor lunch in the open wild Yosemite scenery.

We will end the day by riding to a fun old mining village, Jamestown. On our way to Jamestown, we will ride on twisty & challenging motorcycle roads. We are confident you will have a big smile on your face. But please Ride very cautiously!

Day 11: Jamestown to San Francisco (Riding day 10: 356 km/221 miles)

When we Ride out of Yosemite National Park, we will ride on great motorcycle roads. We are confident you will have a big smile on your face. When we are out of Yosemite, we will continue west to Sausalito and Golden Gate Bridge, where we will take the time to enjoy the view of the bridge and beautiful San Francisco. Afterwards, we will ride across this famous bridge and into San Francisco, where we will stay near the Embarcadero and all its attractions.

Day 12: San Francisco (Fun and Explorer Day)

When you wake up in funny San Francisco, you might understand why Frank Sinatra left his heart in this city. The city will be a funky, individualistic, and surprisingly small place – indeed, the most liberal city in the US.

San Francisco will have a European feel, and you will have many more opportunities for sightseeing than it is possible to adapt to our short stay here. Make sure you visit Fisherman’s Wharf while dropping by small shops and street cafes famous for some of the best seafood dishes in the world. Feel free to hop on one of the city’s famous “Cable Cars, ” a moving landmark and the heart of this amazing city! Other good options are the prison island Alcatraz (must be booked in advance), harbour cruises, Chinatown, and Lombard Street (one of America’s curviest streets). Those who wish can take a road trip to Napa Valley and taste wines.

Day 13: San Francisco to Monterey (Riding day 11: 192 km/120 miles)

Get ready for some fantastic Riding experiences – this day will be one of the tour’s definite highlights! We will Ride on the legendary Pacific Highway 1 by the spectacular coastline and experience our first taste of one of the most amazing motorcycle roads in the world. There are stunning views of caves and rock formations and many opportunities to take great pictures. We will also stop by the famous biker bar “Alice’s” and ride through Big Basin Redwood State Park, which is packed with curvy & narrow motorcycle roads and the famous wide Redwood trees. We will make several stops along Pacific Highway 1 and the Redwood forest before we head to Monterey.

Monterey will be home to the world-famous Laguna Seca Automobile (known as the motorcycle racetrack). When we arrive at this spectacular seaside city, we will spend the afternoon along Cannery Row, packed with beautiful hotels, shops, and restaurants. We will eat dinner at the famous Fisherman’s Wharf.

Day 14: Monterey – Solvang (Riding day 12: 339 km/210 miles)

We’ll say it again: it will be hard to believe that nature can be more beautiful, but today’s ride will take your breath away. Itinerary

Day 1: Denver – Arrival Denver, Colorado

When all tour participants arrive, we will meet for a welcome meeting and refreshments, introducing all tour participants and tour leaders. The evening’s program will be about getting to know each other. Those not tired after the long journey may visit a local bar nearby.

Day 2: Denver – Gunnison (Riding day 1: 330 km/205 miles)

We will start the day with an info meeting covering information about your Buffalo Bill Mountain Tour. We will also cover practical information & preparations regarding MC and car rental checkout. We will check out of the hotel. When everyone is ready on their bikes, we will embark on our 4.200 km long Sturgis & Buffalo Bill Mountain tour. Denver will disappear behind us as we start a unique adventure full of history, adventure, and fun. As we head out of Denver, there will initially be some city Riding & interstate before we depart on our designated back roads in spectacular surroundings. We will start easy, so everybody gets accustomed to traffic and riding conditions. We will begin our adventure on adventurous motorcycle roads. We will stop in Fairplay and visit the “ghost town” South Park City, which currently operates as a museum of the old Wild West. After our Wild West influence, we will ride to Gunnison, where we will relax and share experiences from the fairytale’s first leg.

Day 3: Gunnison – Durango (Riding day 2: 372 km/231 miles)

Today, we will start our ride on the USA’s best back roads. We will head out of Gunnison and ride the beautiful Silverthread Scenic Byway, curvy roads through spectacular scenery. Keep your cameras ready! We will go to Lake City, where we will stop to enjoy the relaxed atmosphere. After that, we will head to South Fork for lunch before we continue to the breathtaking Wolf Creek Pass. Our destination of the day is Durango, an old mining town where treasure hunters come in herds to find & extract gold and silver worth hundreds of millions of dollars from the mineral-rich mountains of the area. The noble metals made Durango a prosperous city that has not been affected by the recession. Today’s usual stress and rush do not influence residents of Durango; they are hospitable and friendly. Get ready for a cozy evening in the city’s historic district.

Day 4: Durango – Moab (Riding day 3: 355 km/220 miles)

Welcome to one of the tour’s highlights – today’s day is packed with amazing Riding experiences on terrific backroads, sharp curves, spectacular mountain scenery, waterfalls, and old Pioneer cities. As we ride out of Durango, we will stop by roadside hot springs. We will continue north on spectacular mountain roads to Silverton and the world’s “highest” Harley Davidson dealer (elevation). After that, we will start riding on the world-famous “Million Dollar Highway” (also San Juan Skyway), ranked No. 4 among America’s best motorcycle roads. It is an extraordinary Riding experience, a lifetime memory! The road got its’ famous name “, San Juan Skyway”, because the mountain passes we ride through lie 3.353m (11,000 ft) above sea level, with amazing views. It’s almost like we can touch the skies. We will make several stops along the way to enjoy this unique experience. You might want to ride back for another ride when we arrive at the road’s end. At San Juan Skyways’ end stop, Ouray, we ate lunch and tried to digest all the impressions. We will continue our fairytale day on terrific backroads through the mountains toward Moab, which is located at the entrance of the Arches National Park. We will spend the evening in these spectacular surroundings.

Day 5: Moab (Fun and Explorer Day)

Spend the day exploring Moab, Arches National Park (unforgettable rock formations that will take your breath away), and the Canyonlands according to your preference. We highly recommend hiking to the world-famous Delicate Arch in Arches National Park. Also, there are countless opportunities for renting an ATV, Jeep, and/or horseback for various safaris. Arches National Park contains the world’s largest concentration of natural stone arches; the 73,000-acre park includes 2,000 of these miracles of nature. Arches Park is packed with red desert, seasoned with the strangest eroded sandstone formations, pinnacles, spears, balanced rocks, and arches. We make sure everyone gets one of this year’s holiday photos.

Day 6: Moab – Park City (Riding day 4: 370 km/230 miles)

On our way to the amazing Wild West run & Yellowstone National Park, this day will be an in-between Riding leg. We will continue north towards Salt Lake City and today’s end-stop Park City.

Day 7: Park City – Jackson (Riding day 5: 470 km/292 miles)

Today, we will head towards magical Yellowstone National Park and “Wild West Run”. We will ride north by beautiful Bear Lake before continuing to Montpelier, where we will visit the historic site of Butch Cassidy’s bank robbery. After that, we will go to Jackson, a vacation spot for wealthy Californians in the valley of Jackson Hole. We will spend the evening at the famous Million Dollar Cowboy Bar.

Day 8: Jackson – Cody (Riding day 6: 383 km/240 miles)

Welcome to another tour highlight! It will be a long day packed with unique and rare experiences. We will ride into wonderful Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Park and operate one of the US’s most popular motorcycle routes, Wild West Run (Jackson – Yellowstone Lake). We will go by Jackson Lake before we proceed to the spectacular Old Faithful Geyser, which remains one of the most active (cone) geysers with its’ predictable eruptions approximately every 35 to 120 minutes. Old Faithful was named in 1870 during the Washburn-Langford-Doane Expedition and was the first geyser in the park to receive a name. We will continue our ride in spectacular Yellowstone and ride on Grad Loop Rd before stopping at breathtaking Artist Point. After that, we will visit live buffalo herds up close. Be ready for exciting encounters, but beware of the wildlife (bears, wolves, elk, buffalos). We will finish the day by riding into Buffalo Bill’s (William F. Cody) home turf, Cody, where we will eat dinner at Buffalo Bill’s historic Irma Hotel.

Day 9: Chief Joseph Scenic Byway & Beartooth Hwy (Riding day 7: 368 km/231 miles)

Today will be the tour highlight for many. Welcome to the world-famous “Beartooth Highway” (ranked as USA’s best, No. 1 motorcycle route). Beartooth Highway has not achieved its iconic status among bikers worldwide without reason; be prepared for unique winding mountain roads up and down the mountain, with hairpin turns and spectacular views. This will also be the tour’s most demanding Riding leg, so we will ride at a comfortable & safe pace to ensure everyone remains safe and gets plenty of time to enjoy the ride and views. Have your camera ready; you will ride on one of the world’s best motorcycle roads. Enjoy! On our way to Beartooth Pass, we will ride Chief Joseph Scenic Byway, a lifetime experience! After our return to Cody, you can visit the spectacular Buffalo Bill’s Center of the West.

Day 10: Cody – Gilette (Riding day 8: 409 km/255 miles)

Riding on spectacular, curvy, fun mountain roads will be another day. We will see breathtaking scenery in Big Horn Canyon & National Forest. We are confident your smile will be glued on. We will stop for lunch & cowboy shopping in Sheridan. After that, we drove to Gillette by the “Spotted Horse” bar.

Day 11: Gillette – Deadwood (Riding day 9: 242 km/151 miles)

Today, we will start our fun adventures in the Black Hills, the location of the Sturgis Bike Rally (the mother of all bike rallies). Get ready for a lifetime experience! We will start by Riding to the famous Devil’s Tower, a very popular destination and location of the sci-fi movie “Encounters of the 3rd Kind”. We will enjoy the surroundings and these spectacular rock formations. Our next stop is Sundance, home of the Sundance Kid. After that, we will ride through the beautiful Spearfish Canyon, natural surroundings like a painting that only nature can create. We will ride through Deadwood, where we will visit the “No 10 Saloon” where Wild Bill Hickok was shot when he played poker (The quick combination he had when he was shot is now called “Deadman’s Hand”). Deadwood is within an Indian reservation and has all gambling rights. It was also here Calamity Jane (the famous female sharpshooter) met Wild Bill for the first time (later, they became a couple).

Day 12: Deadwood – Black Hills Run – Sturgis (Riding day 10: 275 km/171 miles)

Today, we will ride the famous and popular Black Hills Run, experience all the fantastic attractions around Sturgis, and get a feel for the world-famous Sturgis Bike Rally. We will enjoy Riding the Black Hills Run until we reach Crazy Horse, the world’s largest monument carved in the rock. We will continue to Custer and Custer State Park, which captivated General George A. Custer because of its beautiful scenery and surroundings. We will ride Needles Highway and Wildlife Loop, where we might encounter live buffalos. We will eat lunch outside Custer State Park before going to Mt Rushmore (the three presidents’ heads carved in the mountains). Afterwards, we will ride the famous Iron Mountain Road. Be ready for a unique experience. After we have absorbed the Black Hills, we will go to Sturgis, a small town and the centre of all activities around the Sturgis Bike Rally, America’s oldest and legendary Motorcycle Rally. We will park the bikes and visit the world-famous Knuckle Saloon. It’s time for the Biker party!

Day 13: Sturgis – Scottsbluff (Riding day 11: 510km/318 miles)

We will say goodbye to Sturgis and head south again. Our first stop is the spectacular Badlands National Park. Badlands’ rugged beauty draws visitors from around the world. These striking geological deposits contain some of the richest collections of fossils. Old mammal rhinoceros, horses and sabre-toothed tigers walked here once. The park’s 244,000 acres consist of an expanse of mixed grass and prairie where bison, bighorn, prairie dogs, and Blackfoot ferrets live today. We will end our day in Scottsbluff and spend our last night “on the road.”

Day 14: Scottsbluff – Denver (Riding day 12: 384 km/239 miles)

The end of our adventure on the US’s best back-roads and the Buffalo Bill Mountain Tour is approaching. Today is our final leg. We will continue south through Cheyenne and Greeley before heading back to Denver. Arriving in Denver, we will return the bikes, remove our boots, and replace the ride gear with lighter clothing. We will spend the afternoon near the hotel and eat a farewell dinner together.

Day 15: Departure Denver – Travel Home
